Two Mozambique police officers killed by illegal miners at MRM

On Wednesday 15 October 2025, a group of approximately 40 illegal miners marched on the mine gate at Montepuez Ruby Mining (“MRM”). They proceeded to attack Mozambican police officers present at the gate, killing two, one of whom was a commander of Mozambique’s Natural Resources Protection Force.

Highlights: Mini Mixed-Quality Ruby Auction – September – October 2025 Auction revenues of USD 11.0 million 26 of the 33 lots on offer were sold 62% of the 297,449 carats on offer were sold Average realised price of USD 59.43 per carat

Grant of performance share awards under Long Term Incentive Plan and PDMR dealings

Shareholders are advised that the Company has awarded a total of 48,853,247 performance shares in the form of nominal cost options (“Performance Shares”) under the Gemfields Group Limited Long Term Incentive Plan 2023 (“LTIP”) to two Executive Directors and a number of senior employees including persons discharging managerial responsibilities (“PDMRs”). The Performance Shares equate to 2.83% of the issued share capital in aggregate.

Gemfields announces the Company’s financial results for the six months to 30 June 2025 (“2025 Interim Results”). Summarised Results: Total revenue for the six months to 30 June 2025 of USD 64.2 million. EBITDA loss for the six months to 30 June 2025 of USD (4.9) million. Free cash flow before working capital movements for the six months to 30 June 2025 of USD (22.1) million due to significantly lower auction revenue and substantial capital expenditure at Montepuez Ruby Mining (“MRM”) in Mozambique. The Group’s net debt position at 30 June 2025 was USD 61.2 million (before USD 16.1 million of auction receivables and which are now 100% collected).

Gemfields announces the results of an auction comprised of higher-quality rough emeralds held during the period 25 August – 11 September 2025. Highlights: August-September 2025 Higher-Quality Emerald Auction Total auction revenues of USD 32.0 million 38 lots were offered for sale, of which all were sold (100%) Average realised price of USD 160.78 per carat The 52 auctions of Kagem gemstones held since July 2009 have generated USD 1,122 million in total revenues The auction included an exceptional gemstone named Imboo (‘buffalo’), weighing 11,685 carats. Imboo is the latest, and largest, remarkable gemstone discovered at the Kagem mine.
