Corporate Responsibility

Gemfields has a fully integrated approach to corporate responsibility initiatives across the Group.

That approach focuses on demonstrating our commitment and work through alignment with relevant international standards for all parts of the Group’s business and using our ESG Strategic Framework to create a positive impact.

Gemfields prides itself on striving to be a responsible and recognised leader regarding legitimacy, transparency and integrity within the coloured gemstone mining sector, and beyond into the downstream supply chain. Gemfields’ corporate responsibility programme of work is not confined to localised community, conservation, HSE (health, safety and environment) and HR (human resources) projects at our operations, but covers a range of associated issues; from human rights, to product disclosure, to government and industry relations.
