Strategically building a global presence for the Gemfields brand, Emily’s team initiates activations to educate consumers, raise awareness of Zambian emeralds and Mozambican rubies, and highlight Gemfields’ core values of transparency, legitimacy and integrity to revolutionise the coloured gemstone sector. In this endeavour, Gemfields’ marketing team creates collaborations with the arts and fashion worlds, selecting likeminded partners and international jewellery brands, including Fabergé, an iconic name with an exceptional heritage and a member of the Gemfields Group. Often surprising, unexpected and unique, these collaborations are chosen to promote consumer awareness, appeal and education of coloured gemstones, raising their profile and, in turn, providing greater benefit to their place of origin in Africa.
Emily joined Gemfields from her own marketing communications consultancy, where she partnered across the luxury sector to launch campaigns with brands from IWC Schaffhausen to Bentley, Tommy Hilfiger and Ralph & Russo. Prior to this Emily’s career spanned luxury and charity, from Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, where she led every new product launch for six years to redesigning Save the Children’s UK marketing performance strategy and managing the crisis response team. Emily lives in London and enjoys travel, attempting to grow plants and charcoal drawing.
